She was active as a trainer for experiential educators from 2000–2014 and has been a member of various organisational and coordination teams for international congresses, including “erleben & lernen”, for almost 20 years.
During an ERASMUS partnership she developed the European network “Adventure Therapy Europe” (ATE) as well as the professional publication “Journal Adventure Therapy”.
Christiane has expertise in the field of experiential education/adventure therapy and combines her work as a supervisor/coach with her skills as a qualified (oder: graduated, um im wording zu bleiben) social pedagogue. This is practically applied in the context of team and individual supervision and as a company social counsellor in international companies.
As a self-employed professional, she accompanies parents and adolescents on family dynamics issues and works as a certified guardian ad litem, supplementary guardian and legal guardian for family and guardianship courts.
Alexander Rose | Valencia (Spain)
Alexander Rose is passionate and committed to introducing Adventure therapy in Spain and Europe since 2008. Clinical Psychologist and Sports Scientist, he holds both Masteries in Clinical and Health Psychology, and in Drug counselling. Lecturer at different universities since 2000, he currently combines his work as a Psychologist in private practice where he introduces nature based activities, with developing the field of Adventure therapy nowadays as CEO of Terapia Aventura (Spain) and president of the NGO Your WindRose (Spain).
He has formally introduced Adventure and nature-based therapy in Spain through developing, implementing and evaluating several specific programs. He has worked with youth at risk (drug rehabilitation and prevention, dropout problems, adolescents with Asperger’s), adults with drug abuse problems, adults with severe mental health problems, adults with cancer in collaboration with Outward Bound Belgium, mental health professionals with burnout, etc. Nowadays he coaches and supervises several programs of his organizations.
He has also trained mental health professionals in Spain, Iceland and Greece, and nowadays in Germany at the Adventure Therapy Institute (ATI).

Per Wijnands | Broekhuizen (The Netherlands)
For more than 20 years he has been working successfully with families, individuals and various groups struggling with multiple psychiatric and mental health problems on the basis of experiential education. He is the first Dutch person to bear the title “Erlebnispädagoge be®” since 2020 and is certified by the “Bundesverband Individual- und Erlebnispädagogik e.V.”, Germany (Federal Association for Individual and Experiential Education).
Per Wijnands has regularly given courses and workshops on experiential education and adventure therapy for many years.
He is co-founder of the Adventure Therapy Institute GmbH & Co. KG, the European Adventure Therapy Network (ATE) and co-initiator of GATE (Gathering for Adventure Therapy in Europe). In the Netherlands and Germany, he is involved in various experiential education and adventure therapy working groups and networks. Together with Monique Scheres he is the author of the book “Handboek Adventure Therapie met kinderen, jongeren en hun gezinnen” -“handbook of adventure therapy with children, adolescents and their families”.
